Approach
Translate the standard. Then make it run.
accountability.id is built for the gap most firms will not occupy: between a European directive and an Indonesian operation. We are not a law firm. We are not a social-audit house. We implement.

How an engagement runs
01
Scope to the decision
We start from the decision you have to make — a buyer deadline, a board paper, a project FID — and work backwards. No 80-page inception reports.
02
Evidence before opinion
Documents, interviews, and, where the file requires it, contracted field researchers. We will say what we can prove and what we cannot.
03
Local, on purpose
Informal labour, community politics, and the distance between a Jakarta policy and a site in Central Sulawesi are the work. They are not colour.
04
A deliverable someone can own
Every engagement ends with a named owner, a sequence, and artefacts a buyer or auditor can test. We stay for the stand-up if you want us on retainer.
The standards we implement against
UNGPs
The floor. Protect, Respect, Remedy. Policy commitment, human rights due diligence, and access to remedy.
OECD Due Diligence Guidance
The six-step loop that CSDDD and LkSG both borrow: embed, identify, cease/prevent, track, communicate, remediate.
EU CSDDD
Mandatory due diligence for in-scope EU companies and non-EU companies with significant EU turnover — cascading into Indonesian suppliers now.
German LkSG
Already in force. German customers of 1,000+ employees must diligence their own operations and suppliers. Indonesian mills are in those files.
UFLPA
US Customs’ rebuttable presumption on forced labour. Traceability, not a code of conduct, is the test.
CSRD / ESRS
Reporting, not due diligence — but the social standards (S1–S4) now demand the same underlying evidence.
